Our children’s ministries consist of two departments, which provide age-appropriate, learning environments for kids during our Sunday mornings, Littles (age 0-5) and Upper Room (Grades K-4).
The vision of Ransomed Community Church is to be a gospel-centered, community-driven, mission-focused people who seek to make much of Jesus and his gospel. Our vision for RCC Kids is the same. We recognized that God has called parents to be the primary disciplers of their children and we want to assist (not usurp) parents in their role to raise their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord!
We want to teach our kids what it means to be gospel-centered. We teach our children on Sunday mornings using a curriculum called The Gospel Project for Kids in our younger classes. It is a Christ-centered Bible study that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events. For our older kids (K-4th), we use Truth:78’s “In the Beginning…Jesus” curriculum. Each week, these stories come to life through scripture, music, activities, and more. At the same time, we know that families are the primary means of teaching children the Gospel. We want to come alongside families by providing them with the tools and resources they need to teach their children about God. We provide resources to families weekly to review and dive deeper into what has been taught on Sunday mornings. We also offer several books in our Resource Center.
We want our kids to know what it looks like to be community-driven. Children are involved in small groups each Sunday morning. Here they develop relationships with other children that are either their same age or in their same grade. They also develop relationships with their leaders.
We want our kids understand how to be mission-focused. It is our desire to relate Biblical truth about Jesus to the world where your kids live. As our children learn about God’s love for them as evidenced in the Gospel, they will then take that love into their world—their schools, their ballparks, their dance studios—everywhere they go.
OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE
“Tell the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and wonders that he has done.”
Children’s ministry is a great place to serve, and there are several opportunities for you to join our team. If you are interested in serving, please email Erin Letson and she will send you an Application and Background Check Consent. We require a background check for all volunteers in RCC Kids because we care about the safety of these children that the parents have entrusted to us on Sunday mornings.
